THE JUNGLE

For my collection, I was inspired by the “influencers” of our time and how most of us truly only see these influential characters in media but not in real life. I wanted to play into the weird and somewhat ugly undertone that many influencers incorporate into their outfits while giving homage to early internet trends. In my collection, I have 5 looks that all have features of early and mid-2000s styles. My collection tells a periodical storyline of style tribes but also aspects of dress that I have picked up on from my own experiences. Growing up in the age of media and style tribes we can see re-emerging trends from the early cheugy eras today.
